Summary – The Demand Analyst will focus on analyzing and interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights that support the demand forecast and planning process. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with statistical tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Demand Analyst will coordinate with members of the Demand Forecast Team information from the Sales team, Project Management, Marketing and Sales Operations to help evaluate and maintain accurate customer expectations within our forecasting tool. This position requires the analyst to design, develop, and utilize reports, analyze sales (current & historical) and market data to identify opportunities to continually improve the forecast. This position will also build relationships among operations, sales, marketing, and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing to better guide operational decisions. There will be special attention given to new product launches.

Essential Duties:
- Data Analysis: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify patterns and support demand forecasting efforts.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and demand trends. Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, finance, procurement, and supply chain teams to provide and gather relevant information and insights that impact demand planning.
- Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical analysis tools to interpret data and support the development of accurate demand forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the demand planning process and implement best practices for improved analytical efficiency.
- Software Proficiency: Leverage demand planning software and other analytical tools to analyze data and generate insights.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Analyze demand data to support new product launches, manage existing product demand, oversee product transitions, and develop exit strategies.
- Forecast Accuracy Review: Conduct regular assessments of forecast accuracy within forecast software and implement improvements based on findings.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis as required to address specific business questions or challenges.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and work in a fast-paced environment. Able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, demand planning, or a related analytical role. CPG experience is a plus.
