INTERN PROGRAM SUMMARY
Blount’s Internship Program aims to grow students from our community in a way that is mutually beneficial by providing experiential learning opportunities and connecting concepts learned in the classroom to real-world applications in order to contribute to the professional readiness of tomorrow’s workforce. Interns can expect timely feedback, accessible supervisors, bi-weekly meetings with the internship program lead, assistance with career readiness, and networking opportunities.
Summary: The Planning Department Intern will be responsible for assisting the Planning Department team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily supply chain activities, including reporting, and analytics. This person will utilize computer systems to obtain insights into production scheduling, review finished goods inventory levels, and assist in coordination between Production, Customer Service, Logistics and Purchasing. This person will need to have great organizational and people skills, and a “can do” attitude to be successful in this position. Successful candidate will be a result driven individual with high energy, while demonstrating a sense of urgency and ability in a high performance-manufacturing environment
