Supplier Quality Specialist

 Job Function:

• Conduct raw material supplier approval including review food safety documents.
• Manage multiple raw material categories, point person for designated categories.
• Request and review supplier documents follow up by phone or email as required.
• Lead supplier calls and supplier non-conformance investigations.
• Support plants with supplier non-conformance related investigations, communication, and root cause/corrective actions.
• Review supplier CAPA for non-conformance and provide feedback as needed.
• Compile and review supplier data.
• Conduct raw material and supplier risk assessments.
• Willing to travel to conduct supplier audits.
• Assist in warehouse audit and documents requests.
• Contribute to the writing and reviewing of corporates FSQA policies and procedures.

  Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Bachelors or higher in food science, biology, chemistry, or microbiology
• Working knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, and food allergens
• HACCP and PCQI certification preferred.
• Knowledgeable of GFSI audit schemes
• Need strong organization and communication skills.
• Highly organized, collaboratives, and self-motivated individual
