Summary: With more than 150% sales growth since 2016, Blount Fine Foods is North America’s leading family owned manufacturer of refrigerated soups and sides. The Junior Graphic Designer will work under the guidance of our Senior Designer to create engaging designs according to specifications for branded, licensed and private label products and content. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in graphic design with exposure to sales and marketing initiatives, and to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced consumer product goods environment. This role will span and creative needs for a growing CPG organization including food packaging design, selling materials, digital and print advertisements, social media content and more!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop visual assets for various projects, brands or campaigns including but not limited to digital and print materials such as digital content, advertisements, brochures, posters and more.
- Work collaboratively with the design team to brainstorm ideas and develop concepts.
- Execute design solutions from concept to final production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, customer guidelines, usda/fda specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to designs.
- Ensure marketing materials stay up to date
- Support cross-functional team’s graphic and collateral requests
- Create packaging mockups as required by sales team to support sales presentations and customer meetings
- Assist with the Design and development of packaging with guidance of Sr Designer
- Assist with trade show creative materials
- Provide updates to company website when needed
- Support Graphic Portal for kettle card program
- Assist in the brainstorm, creation and execution of content for branded social media accounts
- Write copy for advertisements, social media captions, etc as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design and digital media.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Primarily PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of typography, color, and layout principles.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio showcasing creative design work.
- A love of creativity and Soup!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in graphic design.
- Video editing, motion graphics, or web experience is a plus.
