Summary:
 
Leads and coordinates all zone activities in the Prep department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for guiding, training, and leading their team to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of Division 3 manufacturing ingredients.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy within the department.
  • Responsible for the continuous and efficient operation of all departmental processing equipment.
  • Verify departmental HACCP, GMP, and Allergen guidelines are followed, and ensure integrity of all ingredients throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to learn, modify and adjust departmental equipment.
  • Ability to lead, be a teacher, and create a positive work environment.
With some Supervisory Responsibilities    
  • Leads a staff of 10-12 employees within the Prep department, during their designated shift. Is responsible to assist in the direction, coordination, and evaluation of these staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Experience: 
  • 1-year related experience and/or training, lead experience
  • 1 year food handling experience
  • Must possess strong supervisor/lead skills
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
